Emergency Vet

During business hours we prioritise emergency cases. Where possible, please ask someone to call ahead.

If you have an out of hours emergency, please dial our standard clinic phone number (06 835 1096). Your call will be automatically transferred to Vet Chat for initial triage and then directed to the appropriate on-call vet clinic. Please note, when CareVets is on-call, calls will automatically redirect to them (excluding Saturdays between 9-4 pm) to ensure your pet receives the urgent care they need. Rest assured, our collaborative network of local clinics, including CareVets, Taradale (VPs), and Carlyle (VPs), stands ready to assist outside regular hours, with Taradale specifically supporting our emergencies on Saturdays. Your peace of mind is our priority, and help is just a phone call away.
